Stupid Political Half True Emails.

So today I received an email from an acquaintance with a picture of Senator Obama standing by a US flag with his hand not over his heart, but clapsed in front of him, and the person sending the email was all, "And you want this to be president?"

So I snoped it (www.snopes.com) and
read it (http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/anthem.asp)

And it turns out that Senator Obama has valid reasons, more importantly, his own reasons for not doing so.

So I forwarded the above links back to this person and she got pissed. Very pissed. Like Took It To A Whole New Personal Level Pissed.

Really? The election is so important to you that you have to alienate people and friends with your beliefs? Really?

Sorry, but I see the bigger picture and it is this: You will never be "friends" with whomever becomes the President of the United States, so why make it personal to yourself and your friends? I understand how people can get wrapped up in the bullshit, but that's really all it is. Bullshit.

I would rather have McCain for President than to ever act like Judgy Wudgy...

Pre-School Sick?

So for three plus years now I have heard people say, "Oh, my kid isn't sick- he's Pre-School sick"...and I always thought, "What's the difference you bad mommies? Keep your sicko kid away from mine!"

Well, karma's a bitch because I finally understand. For those of you out there unfamiliar with the term, Pre-School sick is a disease your child picks up walking through the doors on the first day.

My kid has either had a snotty nose or a cough since late August. But he doesn't have a fever. He's "Pre-School Sick".

And here I was, wondering why he had to take a bottle of hand sanitizer to class.

Silly Mommy.

Middle School

What do kids at Middle Schools dance to now? I haven't heard one decent slow R&B song on the radio forever.

How come they don't make songs like "Freak Me" and "Knockin Da Boots" anymore? Whoa- that's going wayyyyyy back!

But I wonder- those dances are what I lived for when I was that age and especially slow dancing with boys, which if you were like me, was the closest thing you got to making out.

Damn Lil' Wayne.
